Problem:
MY NINTENDO DS GAME IS STUFFED UP THE MICROPHONE IN THE NINTENDO DS LITE IS NOT WORKING WHEN I PLAY MY NINTEEN DOGS IT DOES NOT WORK
Solution:
- The seperate mic will not work if the mic in the DS is broken.
- My Nintendo ds lite also would not respond to voices. I have brain age 2 and Zelda. In the Zelda options there is a mic test. This will show a graph bar that measures your voice. Well the mic was not working at all for either game. I simply took out the battery and held the power slide for a couple seconds. Amazingly the mic works now for both games. I do not know if moving the power slide is significant, but on computers to de-static them you remove all power sources(battery and ac adapter) and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
Problem:
When im using the touch screen, on the left half of the screen, i will draw a line with my stylus but when i do this it does not follow my stylus straight away until it gets to the right half of the screen, then it goes back to normal. i have tried to calibrate it for over 50 minutes but nothing happens.
Solution:
- this is for everybody who cannot re-calibrate their touch screens if it doesn't work on the 1st attempt it never will.I had the same problem and solved it by replacing the touch screen.you can obtain a new one from "e" bay it will come from Hong Kong and is easy to replace if you have a little knowledge in taking things electronic apart.It will also save you the expense and hassle of sending it away for repair trust me it works hope this is of help.
- Touch Screen doesn't respond or is inaccurate when touched
* Be sure that you're using only the bottom screen of the Nintendo DS with the stylus. The upper screen is not a touch screen.
* Use only licensed Nintendo DS styluses and screen protectors.
* Unlicensed screen protectors can lower the sensitivity of the touch screen. If the problem you are experiencing started happening after you attached a screen protector, you may want to remove it. Please note that some screen protectors can leave behind a residue that may be difficult to clean. * If the touch screen is not responding when touched, or the accuracy of the screen is off, you may need to recalibrate the touch screen. Click here for help recalibrating the Touch Screen.
* If recalibrating the screen didn't solve the problem (see above step), hold the Nintendo DS at an angle so that you can see where the edges of the Touch Screen meet the housing of the system. Look around the entire edge of the Touch Screen for any foreign material (such as crumbs, etc.) that may be wedged in between the Touch Screen and the housing of the DS. Foreign material in this area can cause the Touch Screen to work incorrectly. If there are any visible particles, please follow these steps for cleaning the screen.

Click here for repair information. - your touch screen may or not be dirty that has happened to me before I got my eye class cloth and wiped the screen for a minute and it worked again. if you do not have a eye class cleaner a game stop or at a game store they sometimes have DS cleaning cloths but almost any soft cloth will work. Other wise you are pressing way to hard on you touch screen.
Problem:
On my nintendo DS Lite, when I attempt to play a game that has an action set to the "L" button, it dosnt work. It works occasinally, but i'm worried that I have to purchase a new one. I recently got the Internet Browser and used the "L" button constantly and I think that may be the problem. Is there anyway that i can fix my Nintedo DS's "L" button?

- Try blowing into it. Yes, blowing into it. What may have happened was the circuits are disconnected, and the condensation from your breath helps to reconnect it. You may have to do this every couple days or so.
Problem:
one day i was playing my ds, but the next day, i charged it for like 6 hours but it still wouldnt come on
Solution:
- If you have a bad battery there is a chance you are going to get that light popping off after a few seconds or just staying amber forever. you can easily check this by trying a friends battery in your unit right? or vise versa, try your battery in another unit.
If the battery is not bad then you have another problem...
If your light is flickering on and then off again you may have blown a fuse. The DS has two fuses, this is a common problem. Google it theres info out there on this.
If your battery is charging up and the light is staying on this is sometimes not a problem to be honest, it could just mean your battery is fully charged. The problem with your DS not powering up could be as simply as a faulty switch. To determine this I would first make sure that your DS is charging up batteries fine, maybe try a friends low battery. if you have a faulty switch this is nothing major to replace but you need to be half decent with fixing stuff dudes to crack open that DS and start playing.
Problem:
My daughter just opened up her new DS and my son (a seasoned veteran at the game) helped her set it up. He plugged in the charger, and when he went to unplug it, the plug would not come out. I looked at it and can see that it seems that the plug is stuck in such a way that it is articulating on something. The charger is from a pelican play pack. Any suggestions?
Solution:
- Unfortunatly I had the same problem. I found that if you pull at it with a little bit of force, at an angle it comes out. If that does not work jiggle it for a sec or two and try again. GOOD LUCK!
- If you can fit anything in between the charger and the socket like a piece of very thin laminate etc you may be able to free that lodged pin, make sure if you do try this you use something non conductive and you also remove the battery first.
- we had same problem and went for 3 days trying to sort this out. we read this forum and the "side to side wiggle" did the trick. THANK YOU. now it does in and out just fine. it only had a problem on the first plug-in.
